The Regional House of Culture in Rzeszow (pol. Wojewódzki Dom Kultury w Rzeszowie - WDK) undertakes to ensure the accessibility of the website wdk.kulturapodkarpacka.pl in accordance with the provisions of the Act of 4 April 2019 on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies.

The WDK website has been designed to be operable by as wide a range of users as possible, regardless of the technology, software or disability they use or have.

Compliance status with the Act
The website is partially compliant with the Act of 4 April 2019 on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies due to the non‑conformities or exemptions listed below.

• Some publications on the site in file form (pdf, jpg, doc) may not be fully digitally accessible because they were prepared before 23/09/2018 or are not used to perform WDK’s current tasks.
• There is no clear information about downloading files or opening them in a new tab.
• Some videos do not have subtitles for Deaf and hard‑of‑hearing users.
• Most text files, spreadsheets and PDF files lack heading structures, titles, alternative descriptions or are scanned images; tables lack alternative descriptions.
• Some materials come from external sources, are too extensive, or were published according to rules that applied in another institution.
• Some photo galleries in articles lack alternative descriptions or use identical descriptions; we are working to complete captions and add them on an ongoing basis.

Reasons for exemptions:
The WDK website contains a large amount of textual content and attachments and is updated on an ongoing basis. We make every effort to ensure the site is accessible to the largest possible audience and operates in accordance with the Act of 4 April 2019 on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies.

Accessibility features:
The site is equipped with aids to facilitate browsing for visually impaired users:

• font size change switch
• letter spacing change switch
• animation disable switch
• contrast change switches
• page layout change switch
• the entire site is based on CSS styles

Standards compliance:
The site fully complies with W3C standards: HTML5; WCAG 2.0; CSS3.

Keyboard shortcuts:
The site can be operated both by keyboard and by mouse.
On all subpages and the home page you can use the TAB key to jump to a chosen area (main content, menu, side content, etc.).
TAB moves through all active elements on the page; Shift+TAB moves in the reverse direction.
Enter activates the selected active element, including menu items.
Home and End move the view to the top and bottom of the page.
PgUp and PgDn move the view up or down by one screen.
Up/Down arrow keys move through the page vertically.
Left/Right arrow keys move horizontally.
Space scrolls the page down; Shift+Space scrolls up.

Users of the website have the right to:

• submit comments concerning the digital accessibility of the website or its element;
• request ensuring digital accessibility of the website or its element;
• request access to inaccessible information in an alternative form.

Comments, requests and demands must include:

• contact details of the person submitting them;
• indication of the page or element concerned;
• indication of a convenient form of providing the information if the request concerns making inaccessible information available in an alternative form.

Anyone may request ensuring digital accessibility of the website, mobile application or any of their elements. The public body should consider comments and requests immediately, no later than within 7 days from the date of the request. If meeting this deadline is not possible, the public body shall promptly inform the requester when the request will be met, but this date cannot be later than 2 months from the date of the request. Architectural accessibility

The Regional House of Culture in Rzesow is located at ul. Stefana Okrzei 7.

The building has two ground‑level entrances (the main entrance is on S. Okrzei 7; the second entrance is from the internal WDK parking lot). One parking space on that lot is designated for people with disabilities.

The WDK building has an elevator and is equipped with a voice communicator facilitating access to all floors.

On the ground floor (in the lobby) there are tactile guidance strips and attention fields. Behind them (to the left of the main entrance) there is a reception desk where visitors can obtain necessary information about WDK’s activities. A portable induction loop system is available at the reception.

In the lobby by the entrance to the auditorium (next to the reception) there is a tactile building plan with raised print and Braille description.

The building also contains signage with Braille.

CCTV is installed throughout the building.

On level “-1” there is a toilet dedicated to persons with disabilities.

There is no sign language (PJM) interpreter service available on the premises.

A porter’s room is located on the ground floor; the porter is always available to assist.
