CamON film workshops
CamON film workshops

The camON program has been running since 2017 as a series of workshops, masterclasses, and consultations in areas such as directing, screenwriting, production, cinematography, sound design, and editing. The program is dedicated to young filmmakers from the region who want to develop their skills and enhance their professional qualifications. The program offers practical experience in filmmaking, experiencing every stage of production under the guidance of experienced filmmakers, and allows for the development of extensive contacts within the film community.
Classes led by award-winning filmmakers and film school lecturers are held through monthly meetings, online classes, and on-site fieldwork on film sets. The course supervisors are Paweł Chorzępa and Maciej Cuske. Both have extensive experience directing documentary and feature films that have won awards at international festivals. Classes as part of the program were also led by Aneta Hickinbotham, producer of films such as "Corpus Christi", "The Last Family", and "Leave No Traces", Maciej Bochniak, director of films such as "Magnesium" and the series "Don`t worry about me", and Przemysław Chruścielewski, editor of films such as "King", among others.
Nearly 200 students participated in eight annual series, producing both fiction and documentary short films. The young filmmakers utilize the knowledge and experience they gained on film sets and in their own film projects, including those for the Podkarpackie Film Chronicle. Several have gone on to pursue higher education in film studies.
