On 15.07.2024, a meeting of the Competition Committee of the Podkarpackie Regional Film Fund (hereinafter referred to as PRFF) was held. The budget of the Podkarpackie Regional Film Fund for 2024 amounted to PLN 1,412,538 gross from the budget of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship.

As part of the recruitment to the PRFF, 9 applications were received for a total amount of co-financing of PLN 3,809,088.60 gross. 7 applications were qualified for the substantive evaluation stage; 2 applications were rejected for formal reasons.

The Competition Committee decided on the Competition, decided on the amount and type of the co-production contribution, taking into account the available financial resources, assessments and recommendations of the Program Council's experts.

Among the selected projects were 4 productions - two fiction films, a series and a documentary film, whose producers will be invited to negotiate a co-production contract:

The Podkarpackie Film Commission invites producers to participate in the 8th edition of the competition to support film production from the Podkarpackie Regional Film Fund.

The budget of the Podkarpackie Regional Film Fund for 2024 is PLN 1,412,538 gross. The Fund's funds come from a subsidy from the budget of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. The operator of the Fund is the Podkarpackie Film Commission, operating in the structure of the Regional House of Culture in Rzeszów. As a result of the concluded competition, the Regional House of Culture will become a co-producer of selected productions.

The deadline for accepting applications is April 22, 2024. The date of its receipt by the Institution is considered to be the deadline for submitting an application. The application must be submitted simultaneously in printed and electronic form. Applications should be submitted to the secretariat of the Institution's headquarters, to the address: WOJEWÓDZKI DOM KULTURY W RZESZOWIE, UL. OKRZEI 7, 35-002 RZESZÓW with the note "PODKARPACKIE REGIONAL FILM FUND 2024". The regulations, the current application form and attachments are available below, in the "documents to download" tab.

The aim of the Competition is to support film productions related to the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. The condition for receiving financial support is to link the production with the Podkarpackie Voivodeship through, among others: subject matter, creators (entrepreneurs and specialists from the audiovisual industry operating in the region) or the place of the film's production. A minimum of 100% of the equivalent of the net co-production contribution, financed by the Podkarpackie Regional Film Fund, must be spent in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship.

Applications for support of film production under the Podkarpackie Regional Film Fund may be submitted by any entity conducting economic activity in the field of film production, which intends to carry out film production related to the region. The conditions of participation are set out in the Regulations of the competition for the support of film production under the Podkarpackie Regional Film Fund.

The institution reserves the right to suspend the competition procedure or cancel the competition.
