Arłamów and Trójca Villages

The historical grounds of the Arłamów and Trójca villages, located in the Bieszczady County, within the Ustrzyki Dolne municipality.

Both settlements, situated in the Sanok-Turka Mountains, were depopulated after World War II. As in many other villages that shared a similar fate, one can observe a unique landscape here that serves as a testament to the past: areas devoid of houses, yet with visible remnants of old fields and orchards.

Although it evokes the dark history of the region, these are intriguing and hauntingly beautiful places. Similar scenery can be found throughout the Przemyśl Foothills, the Sanok-Turka Mountains, the Low Beskids, and the Bieszczady Mountains. Post-WWII forced resettlements and Operation Vistula (Akcja "Wisła") affected the vast majority of the mountainous and foothill areas of southeastern Podkarpacie.
