Bieszczady Railbike (Pedal-driven Draisine), Uherce Mineralne - Olszanica

The Bieszczady Mountains have a long railway tradition dating back to the 19th century. These old railways laid the foundation for creating a new type of tourist attraction: railbikes (pedal-driven draisines).

This 4-person open structure allows for direct contact with nature. They offer views of Bieszczady meadows, forests, and hills, all powered by the leg strength of the two drivers. A fleet of 50 railbikes operates along a route of nearly 50 kilometers.

Specifically for this adventure, local Bieszczady artists renovated the old train station in Uherce Mineralne. Traditional elements preserved in this modern tourist activity are also highlighted by cardboard tickets and the stationmaster's whistle.
