The historic complex at 85 Słowackiego Street in Przemyśl is a multi-layered former military hospital ensemble, whose construction began in 1882. The greater part of the complex is currently abandoned and unused.

Rich in history — from the period of the partitions through the post-war era — the site has preserved its authentic pavilion layout, with numerous wards, a pharmacy, and traces of activity by prominent figures, including Rudolf Weigl, the inventor of the typhus vaccine.

The architecture combines the austere aesthetic of late 19th-century buildings with later adaptations from the communist period, offering a diverse range of interiors — from abandoned operating theatres and psychiatric wards to atmospheric basements, attics, and extensive technical facilities, including its own boiler house and ambulance access ramps.

At present, part of the complex — the buildings in good technical condition — operates as a Municipal Hospital, as well as housing other institutions, including a school and association offices.
