Surrounded by a park, the castle dates back to the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries and is built in the Renaissance-Mannerist style. It has a quadrangular shape, an inner courtyard, and richly decorated walls. It features four distinct corner towers.

The 4 towers symbolize the eternal hierarchy in the world: the Divine Tower (with a dome – it once housed a chapel), the Papal Tower (with an attic in the shape of a papal crown – it contained guest rooms), the Royal Tower (with six turrets – it housed royal apartments), and the Noble Tower (in the shape of a crown – it served as an observation deck). Next to the former gate, there is one more – the highest tower, which today serves as a terrace offering a view of the interesting landscape.

The walls (both exterior and interior) are decorated (with sgraffito technique decorations covering as much as 7,000 m² of the wall surface). Cloisters were built in the courtyard.
