The historic railway station in Zagórz (Nowy Zagórz) is an important example of 19th- and early 20th-century railway architecture, associated with the development of the Galician transport network.

The original station building, erected in 1872 with the launch of the First Hungarian-Galician Railway line, was destroyed in 1915 during the Russian occupation during World War I. In the 1920s of the Second Polish Republic, the station was rebuilt in an enlarged form by adding a second story and giving the building a vast, almost castle-like character.
