The underground tunnel shelter in Strzyżów is a historical railway shelter from World War II that served as a strategic security facility under Żarnowska Mountain.

The tunnel shelter in Strzyżów is a massive, underground railway structure approximately 438 meters long, built during the Nazi occupation. It was constructed between 1940 and 1941 by the German Organization Todt using concrete, reinforced concrete, and clinker bricks, featuring a characteristic circular cross-section.

The facility, along with the installation tunnel and adjacent technical shelters, was part of a larger complex known as Anlage Süd, created in the context of the Third Reich's strategic wartime plans. The tunnel was intended as a shelter for the staff train "Amerika," used by Adolf Hitler – in August 1941, he stayed here during one of his travels.

After the war, the tunnel was used for various economic purposes, and today it is an element of historical heritage and a point of interest for military enthusiasts and history buffs of the Podkarpackie region.
