Wooden Orthodox Church of St. Michael the Archangel, Turzańsk

The wooden Orthodox church of St. Michael the Archangel is located in Turzańsk. The current structure dates back to the 19th century.

This wooden Lemko Orthodox church has a tripartite structure. As a result of renovations, three turrets with lanterns emerged on the roof (two equal in height and a taller central one), topped with onion domes and wrought-iron crosses. Above the sacristies, there are cupolas also terminating in turrets. Inside, one can admire a 19th-century iconostasis. Next to the church stands a three-story wooden bell tower.

Currently, the building serves the Greek Catholic community. It is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
