The unity, in which they had been living so far, started to fall apart. Their artistic and life paths started to diverge. The fact of being apart caused the brothers to get back to joint artistic initiatives after many years. Despite the separation, “being a twin” has somehow always defined the life of each one of them. The aim of a painting project cooperatively realised since 2015 called “Similarities and difference” (coordination: Witold Adamczyk) and “Differences and similarities” (coordination: Piotr Adamczyk) was to search for the similarities between the twins through the medium of art and to show the differences resulting from individual personalities. Common idea for both artistic series is creating a painting together. From this process emerged an idea for an exhibition called “Internal self-portrait”, being a presentation of the works of Witold and Piotr – separate and joint. The movie shows unique phenomenon on the artistic map of Poland as well as probably the world, at the same time allowing the audience to understand abstract art. The documentary searches for unity, that joins the twins and expresses through the created art. The movie was made as a part of Podkarpackie Film Chronicle 2022.
