Historical documentary about a tragic events in the village Miłków, of which the people in 1941 were displaced to Bessarabia. The protagonists of the film are four women from Miłków, which talk about the life of the village and its residents. Before the World War II located in the Lubaczów district Miłków was an enclave of over 800 inhabitants – Poles, Ukrainians and Jews. In the village there was a Greek Catholic church and a Roman Catholic chapel, there was a school and a kindergarten, and a functioning theatre.
Miłków was famous for wooden pavements, flowery gardens, fruit orchards and apiaries. In the village there were organised famous in the whole region festivals and events. After the start of the World War II the village was divided with the border between the Third Reich and Soviet Union. On January 18th, 1941 the village was exiled. People ended up in Bessarabia. After the war people from Miłków were settling in places neighbouring to their family village, which had been destroyed. Under the mission „Wisła” part of the people of Miłków landed on the Regained Territories, and the non-existing village was forested. Since the year 2000 in Miłków there is an annual church fair, which brings people of Miłków from all over Poland in search of their lost paradise.
