Vulnerable worlds
Someone once wrote that if St. Francis of Assisi collected paintings, he would certainly have the entire DZIKON collection by Marta Jamróg. Perhaps so, although Marta herself doesn't identify with any religion, and her icons, though heavily inspired by sacred art, are somehow untamed. Just like the artist herself, consistently following her path—both her life's and her artistic one. Although these two worlds of Marta's are difficult to separate. Artistry intertwines with life, they interpenetrate, creating equally vulnerable worlds.
The film "VULNERABLE WORLDS" is, on the one hand, a portrait of the artist, but on the other, it draws attention to important things that escape us daily. We live quickly, often without reflection. Marta's art compels us to it. Not intrusively. If someone wants to, they will. If not, so be it. It is also a story about consistency, about making decisions and following your own path, which is often bumpy but gives you a feeling of total freedom and living in harmony with yourself.
