On May 16, 2023, a remote meeting of the Competition Committee of the Podkarpacka Film Chronicle was held in Rzeszów. The committee consisted of Marta Kraus, Aleksandra Gorzelak-Nieduży, Jagoda Mazepa, and Tomasz Leyko.

The competition budget for 2023 amounts to PLN 80,000 gross, financed from the budget of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. A total of 8 applications were submitted, requesting combined funding of PLN 145,430 gross. All 8 applications qualified for the substantive evaluation stage.

During the committee’s deliberations, the following Applicants were selected and will be invited to negotiate co-production agreements:

The operator of the program is the Podkarpackie Film Commission, operating in the structure of the Regional House of Culture in Rzeszów. As a result of the concluded competition, the Regional House of Culture will become a co-producer of selected productions.

The Podkarpackie Film Commission invites you to participate in the 8th edition of the competition to support film production entitled "Podkarpacka Film Chronicle 2023".

The budget of the Podkarpackie Film Chronicle for 2023 is PLN 80,000 gross. The funds will come from the budget of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, provided that a grant agreement is signed.

The aim of the Competition is to capture events, places and people related to Podkarpacie in the form of films. The program is to promote the creation of conditions for the development of film productions in Podkarpacie and the documentation of the history, present, cultural and natural heritage of the region.

Films should be a record of the cultural and social heritage of the region; commemorate individuals (historical figures, representatives of creative and scientific circles, athletes, social workers and other people identified with the region) and social groups, their contribution to building the image of the region and everyday life; present events, places, elements of heritage, traditions, social initiatives that are important for the region's culture and history.

The deadline for accepting applications is March 31st, 2023.

The date of its receipt by the Institution is considered to be the deadline for submitting an application. The application must be submitted simultaneously in printed and electronic form. Applications should be submitted to the secretariat of the Institution's headquarters, address:

The institution reserves the right to suspend the competition procedure or cancel the competition.
