On 11 June 2025, a meeting of the Competition Committee of the Podkarpackie Regional Film Fund (hereinafter: PRFF) was held. The PRFF is operated by the Podkarpackie Film Commission, which functions within the structure of the Regional Cultural Centre in Rzeszów. As a result of the competition outcome, the Regional Cultural Centre in Rzeszów will become a co-producer of the selected productions.

The budget of the Podkarpackie Regional Film Fund for 2025 amounts to PLN 1,462,538 gross, financed from the budget of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. The funds will be released upon the signing of the grant agreement.

Within the call for applications, 14 applications were submitted, requesting a total amount of PLN 2,696,284.00 gross in funding. 13 applications were qualified for the substantive evaluation stage, while 1 application was rejected due to formal reasons.

The Competition Committee concluded the competition and decided on the amount and type of co-production contribution, taking into account the available financial resources as well as the evaluations and recommendations of experts from the Programme Council. Based on these criteria, it was also decided not to allocate the entire competition budget.

Among the selected projects are 5 fiction productions — 3 feature-length films and 2 short films — whose producers will be invited to negotiations regarding co-production agreements:

The Podkarpackie Film Commission invites producers to participate in the 9th edition of the competition for film production support financed by the Podkarpackie Regional Film Fund.

The aim of the competition is to support film productions connected with the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. The completed films and series are intended to contribute to the cultural, tourism, and economic promotion of the region.

A condition for receiving financial support is that the production is linked to the Podkarpackie Voivodeship through, among others, its subject matter, the creators (entrepreneurs and audiovisual professionals operating in the region), or the location where the film is produced. At least 100% of the net equivalent of the co-production contribution financed from the Podkarpackie Regional Film Fund must be spent within the Podkarpackie Voivodeship.

Applications for film production support under the Podkarpackie Regional Film Fund may be submitted by any entity conducting business activity in the field of film production that intends to carry out a film production connected with the region. The conditions for participation are specified in the Competition Regulations for Film Production Support under the Podkarpackie Regional Film Fund.

The institution reserves the right to suspend the competition procedure or cancel the competition.
