On 14.07.2021, a meeting of the Competition Committee of the Podkarpackie Regional Film Fund (hereinafter referred to as PRFF) was held in Rzeszów, consisting of: Marta Kraus, Robert Godek, Aleksandra Gorzelak-Nieduży, Jagoda Mazepa. The operator of the PRFF is the Podkarpackie Film Commission, operating in the structure of the Regional House of Culture. As a result of the concluded competition, the Regional House of Culture will become a co-producer of selected productions.

Due to the large number of valuable projects in this year's edition of PRFF, the budget of PRFF 2021 has increased to PLN 950,000.00 gross. The funds come from the budgets of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship and the Regional House of Culture in Rzeszów.

As part of the recruitment to the PRFF, 12 applications were received for a total amount of co-financing of PLN 3,452,820.33 gross. All applications passed the formal evaluation positively.

The Competition Committee decided on the Competition, decided on the amount and type of the co-production contribution, taking into account the available financial resources, assessments and recommendations of the Program Council's experts.

Among the selected projects were 4 full-length productions and 2 short films - documentary and fiction films. The following applicants will be invited to negotiate co-production contracts:

In the event of non-signing of the co-production contract, non-spending of the entire contribution awarded or resignation by the selected applicants, the Competition Committee will convene a meeting at which it will decide on the granting of funds.

The budget of the Podkarpackie Regional Film Fund for 2021 will be PLN 830,800.00 gross.

The Fund's funds come from a subsidy from the budget of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. The Fund's operator is the Podkarpackie Film Commission, operating in the structure of the Provincial House of Culture in Rzeszów. As a result of the concluded competition, the Regional House of Culture will become a co-producer of selected productions.

The deadline for accepting applications is May 7, 2021.

The date of its receipt by the Institution is considered to be the deadline for submitting an application. The application must be submitted simultaneously in printed and electronic form. Applications should be submitted to the secretariat of the Institution's headquarters, address:

ATTENTION! The process of settling the funds granted under the fund has been facilitated. The manufacturer is obliged to submit only the Final Report on the settlement of production costs, taking into account the expenses incurred in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship in an amount not less than the financial contribution granted in the net amount.

The institution reserves the right to suspend the competition procedure or cancel the competition.

The aim of the Competition is to support film productions related to the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. The condition for receiving financial support is to link the production with the Podkarpackie Voivodeship through, among others: subject matter, creators (entrepreneurs and specialists from the audiovisual industry operating in the region) or the place of the film's production. A minimum of 100% of the equivalent of the net co-production contribution, financed by the Podkarpackie Regional Film Fund, must be spent in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship.

Applications for support of film production under the Podkarpackie Regional Film Fund may be submitted by any entity conducting economic activity in the field of film production, which intends to carry out film production related to the region. The conditions of participation are set out in the Regulations of the competition for the support of film production under the Podkarpackie Regional Film Fund.
